Fever
Yesterday I woke up with a fever and fought it off and on all day long. Last night it got pretty high--103.7. Daddy called the doctor's office to talk to the on-call doctor and he suggested we keep doing the Tylenol and Advil and keep an eye on me. I was talking and responsive and not lethargic so he didn't think I needed to rush to the hospital. Mommy and Daddy got up at 1:30 or so to check on me again and it was still high. I developed a nasty cough that makes me cry whenever I cough. When Daddy tried to lay me back in bed after rocking I started crying which made me cough, which made me cry more and cough more. Mommy told him to keep me calm and quiet so I could rest, that I should come sleep with them for awhile. It was probably the best thing because I stayed asleep and calm without coughing, and sometime this morning my fever finally broke. They are going to keep listnening to my cough, and maybe do a breathing treatment, and we'll see if we need to go to the Urgent Care this morning. I do feel a lot better though now that this fever is gone. Mommy and Daddy don't like it when I get sick though. It makes them worry when I have a fever so high like that, and they feel very helpless that they don't know how to help me.
"A-B-C..."
My new-found talent is singing. I love it. I don't know a lot of the words to the songs, but I do a good job anyway.
"Wee-A-Pooh. Wee-A-Pooh." (Winnie the Pooh song)
"Uppa Bubba Woo Woh Why." (From Twinkle Twinkle Little Star--"Up Above the World So High.")
"A-C-B-E-F-G, H-I-Sing With Me!!!!" (The Alphabet Song)
If I cooperate sometime, hopefully Mommy can get it on video.

The Klutz Strikes Again.
I'm a klutz. If you ask my daddy, he says I got it from my mommy.
Last night I followed Mommy into the bathroom. It's a daily thing. She uses the potty ("Mom, go pobby?"), I tell her what to do ("Mom, WIPE!"), I watch the flush ("All gone! Bye-bye!"), then I watch her wash her hands, etc. I don't do this myself though, NO WAY, but I enjoy seeing other people do it. Anyway, Mommy finished with the "pobby" and was washing her hands. I decided that this would be a good time to more closely inspect the shower curtain. While Mommy was drying her hands, out of the corner of her eye she saw me playing with the shower curtain. She looked over just in time to see me lean towards the shower curtain and fall head first into the bathtub. I mean feet-over-head right into the bathtub. Big thump. Then the curtain put itself right back in place like nothing was wrong. Mommy said, "Amelia, what did you do?!" She finished drying her hands and came to fetch me out of the tub. When she pulled back the curtain I was trying to get myself back up and crying over my hurt pride. Daddy came to inspect the situation and see what had happened. He asked Mommy, "What did she do?" but Mommy was laughing too hard to tell him at first. She's such a bad Mommy. Laughing while I'm crying over my hurt pride. When she finally collected herself she told Daddy what had occurred and he told Mommy she was a bad mom for laughing at her poor baby. Then she went and told everybody at work today too. The nerve.

Potty Time
Mommy and Daddy are pretty sure that it's getting to be about time to start some serious potty training. Yesterday at Nana's house I told Nana that I had pooped my pants. "Nana....POOP! POOP!!!" Then today after my bath Mommy put me down to get a diaper, and when she came back I had peed on the carpet. I said, "Pee? Mama, I pee?"
Yep, it's about that time.

"Yeah, I gonna clean!"
I think we have way too many open houses and Mommy does way too much cleaning around here. As you can see it's rubbing off on me.
Daddy's Boots
I think I fit in Daddy's boots just fine. If you listen carefully too you might be able to hear me sing "Winnie the Pooh" and count a number or two.
Cuteness from the last week
I stayed late at Kathy's one day recently and came home with pigtails. Mommy loved them. They lasted about an hour.
I've discovered I LOVE berries. On this day I sampled blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. I found them all to be equally yummy, but was originally a little unsure about the "fuzzy" raspberries.

A Good Hair Day
Today I got to spend all day at Kathy's because Nana is out of town for the weekend.
Mommy was pleasantly surprised when she arrived and saw that Kathy had done my hair up all pretty with a matching barrette.
