Potty Training is Fun!

This potty training stuff is equal parts success and failure right now. I am still a little unsure on the "poo-doo in potty" part. I don't like to do that so much. But I am more than happy to let Mommy and Daddy know that I did in fact go "poo-doo" and need to be changed. "Poo-doo," that's what I call it, and nobody's really sure why. I still don't tell Mommy or Daddy that I need to go use the potty, but any time I am asked I will respond with, "No, okay, oh fine" and will proceed directly to the potty, stripping off any stitch of clothing and diaper/Pull-Up off my body, sit down with a purpose and immediately go pee-pee on the potty. When I finish in about 8.3 seconds I hop up and yell, "I PEE-PEE!!! I PEE-PEE!!! DOH FWUSH IT!!!!" So Mommy and I grab the potty bin and go dump it in the potty where I proudly flush it and yell, "Bye poo-doo!" even though I rarely if ever poo-doo in the potty. Sometimes, when I feel like changing things up I will even take my cushiony potty seat into the bathroom and put it to good use on the big potty. So I am having a pretty enjoyable time with this potty training, even though it's still early on and I'm still having a little confusion about how everything should work. But I almost never cry when Mommy asks me to use my potty, and I rarely have to sit for more than 10 seconds.

The picture above is of me doing my new favorite activity: "I change a baby's di-ter." It's fun. Mommy gave me a forgotten newborn diaper from when I was born and it perfectly fits my "potty baby" so I spend hours removing and replacing this one diaper and vigorously cleaning the baby with my rationed wipe. Mommy only allows me one wipe for the baby a day, otherwise I want to use the entire box. Not fair I say, but when I finish with my 5 straight minutes of wiping the baby's bottom I usually go and help out by wiping down the refrigerator, the linoleum floor, the cabinets, etc. I'm a big helper.

CHEESE!!!! CHEESE!!!!

Somebody, presumably one of the kids at daycare (Mommy is unsure) taught me how to do "CHEESE!" every time I see the camera come out. Now every picture, and some video attempts, come out looking like this.
Big cheese.
Me cheesing with Mommy's hair thingy in my hair. It's so big it falls out almost immediately upon me moving my head, but I think it's the most wonderful thing and I will pull it out of her hair and request that she put it in my hair instead.

Pretty Toes!!!

That's what I yell every time I see my pretty blue toenails, which is basically about 8 times a day, starting as soon as I wake up and get ready to walk down the stairs. "Wook Mommy, pretty toes!!! They bwoo!!!"

Nana's House

Today while we had an open house, Mommy, Daddy, the dogs, and I all piled up in the cars and went to Nana's house as usual. It was so hot outside it was the perfect time for a swim in my baby pool. Mommy and Daddy didn't think to grab a swim suit when we dashed out of the house, so I got in the pool in my diaper. When that got really full of water, Mommy told Nana it was ok to just take it off. I went skinny dipping! Boy was that fun!

The New Stroller

This is my awesome new stroller. It is so cool. It is an all-terrain/jogging stroller, but also has a second seat that goes on the back so the baby has a place to sit when that day finally arrives.
Riding in it makes me very happy. In fact, it makes me so happy that I don't want to get out of it when the ride is over. This picture is me doing my latest thing--"CHEESE!!!"

This pretty much sums it up.

Yep, I'm two. And this picture pretty much sums up a lot of my days over the last month.

Nice

Mommy and I have been so glad to have Daddy back home with us. I was starting to get so out of sorts with him gone for almost a whole week. I was so excited for him to be home I demanded many pony rides from him all weekend long. I had become so used to him being gone all week that on Monday when Mommy and I went to leave the house for daycare and work, I saw his truck gone and asked, "Where Dada go?" When Mommy told me he was working, as she had told me all week, I just lost it. She had to tell me, "It's ok, he will be home tonight!" I was devastated thinking he was gone again.

I've had the sniffles for about a week. Pretty sure it's these darn allergies. Mommy has been sneezing too, but she can't really take any allergy medicine like I can.

Yesterday when Nana dropped me off at home, she told Mommy that I needed to go potty. I had sat on my potty at work for about 10 minutes, but it wasn't the right time. So Mommy brought me in the house and I sat for a few minutes but I got upset because it still wasn't the right time. She put my diaper and shorts back on and we played for a little while more. Mommy saw me stop and concentrate so she quickly removed my shorts and diaper again, and wham bam, I pooped on the potty like a big girl! We are making a really big deal of this right now trying to keep me excited about going on the potty. I get to go do the flushing, and I always say, "Flush potty. Bye bye potty!" and wave as I see my potty flush down the toilet. Then we cheer some more, hugs all around, and then sometimes I call Nana to tell her what a big girl I am. It's kind of silly, but it gets me excited. I have even asked to go potty a few times, so that's a huge step for me.
