I Like to Move It, Move It!

This is for my Granddaddy who came up this last week with Grandmommie to see me. When we went down to their house last, they rented this wonderful cartoon movie called "Madagascar" and I fell in love with it. Nana bought me the movie and I ask to watch it at least once a week. I especially love the "Move It Move It" song, so this is me doing my "move it" dance.

Ride 'Em Cowgirl!

Grandma and Grandpa have this wonderful old rocking horse that I discovered a few weeks back. This Thursday was the first time Mommy actually remembered to bring the camera so she could capture how much fun I have on it. It's definitely a new favorite.

Sleepy Heads

Yeah, Mommy and I woke up about the same way this morning. Only difference was that I got to go back to sleep for a two hour nap before church and Mommy had to stay up and do dishes and bake cupcakes for the church potluck.

Long Weekend

This has been a long weekend for us. We had two house showings this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Mommy and Daddy spent most of Friday evening doing the quick cleaning on the house. Saturday morning, Daddy had to go into work for a few hours, and Mommy and I were supposed to go to my swim lessons. Well, I woke up at 5:00 am yelling for my daddy. When Mommy came in, I told her that there were "big scary monsters" that had woken me up. Mommy took me to her bed to try and get me to go back to sleep, but I had better ideas. We ended up getting up and watching some cartoons for a little while and eating breakfast. Mommy decided against the swim lesson due to a nasty cough of mine that was sounding nastier, and the fact that I was now in desperate need of a nap. She laid me down and I did rest for a little over an hour. About that time Daddy arrived home from work, and we all got ready to make the short trek to Nana's empty house for the house showing. We came home and rested a little, made supper, and tried to just let all of us relax for the evening.

Today I woke up with this same cough and a very bad attitude about it. Mommy and Daddy decided it would be a good weekend to not take me to church because of that. We piled up in the vehicles again to head to Nana's for the second open house, and Daddy and I watched some football and played with some toys while Mommy did some sewing. Then we had Tim help us move some furniture in preparation for the baby's arrival. Mommy was very thankful to finally have that done so she can finish her work in the nursery. It will get done sometime, right? After all that excitement, I was in much need of a nap so Mommy took me upstairs with no protest from me. I slept for a little over an hour when Mommy came up and told me it was time to wake up and get ready for supper. I was not at all interested in that, so I cried all the way downstairs and ended up falling asleep on the couch while she and Daddy finished making supper. That's me in that pile of blankets and stuffed lion. Not to worry, I still ate supper, watched Winnie the Pooh, and went right back to sleep when they took me upstairs for the night. Overall it was a good, but long, weekend.

Amelia Cheese

Today Mommy asked me to say my name--Amelia Jean.

I responded "A-me-ya Cheese?"

She got a good laugh out of that.
