New Year, New Blog

As has been the trend for the last two years, Mommy has created a new blog for the new year. With her returning to work in less than two weeks, keeping up with two separate blogs for Thomas and I is just not feasible. She has created a new family blog that she will update instead. Click here to follow our family.

Tinkerbell

One of my cool presents was a trunk of Tinkerbell dress up clothes. It came with three outfits, bracelets, necklaces, slippers, headbands, wands, and a pair of wings. This present is a big hit.
Pretty cute over my pajamas, right?
And the umcombed hair is a nice added touch!

Christmas Day

This is me yelling, "CHEESE!" as Mommy snaps a picture of me looking exactly like every one of her old Christmas pictures--crazy curly hair and a nightgown.
This is one of my favorite toys--a microphone that changes your voice when you yell into it, which I do a lot of.
I had so much fun opening all of my presents from Mommy and Daddy and Nana.
Later in the afternoon we left ot head over to the chaos that is the Hohenadel Family Christmas. Daddy counted people for Grandpa and we found that there were 42 people in attendance. The only two missing were Aunt Courtney and Uncle Jason who couldn't make it.
We had a very nice time but had to leave early when my fever made another appearance. We went home and I was so tired I passed out in the car on the way home. The fever wasn't nearly as high as it was the night before, and it responded more quickly to the medicine, but we have no idea why it came around in the first place. It is gone now and I am feeling much better, by the way.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we made our usual trip to De Kalb to spend the day with Auntie Julie, Uncle Al and Maria. Before lunch we opened our presents. I got lots of great things.
This is Auntie Julie and Uncle Al's old neighbor Maria and her son Matteo. He is only one day older than me! We had a fun time playing together.
Here is Cousin Maria holding Thomas.
When we got home I had an unexplained fever for some reason. You wouldn't know it from this picture or my normal behavior all night long. Since I was in a good mood and got some medicine in me, Mommy decided to break out our new air popper and pop some popcorn the old fashioned way that she and Daddy remember it. It was really yummy.
In this picture you can actually tell that I'm feeling my fever. I spent a few hours laying here drinking Gatorade and holding my favorite hammer. Even though I had the fever, I still had a nice day. By the way, God was smiling on us because Walgreens was actually open until 10:00 pm on Christmas Eve night, so they were still open when Daddy went out at 9:40 desperately looking for Tylenol and Gatorade for me.

Yerington Family Christmas Party

Today was the annual Yerington Family Christmas Party and I had a really good time. Here I am listening to Aunt Louise while she does the traditional reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
It's a long story so I lost interest toward the end, but I did alright.
I was soooooo excited when Santa showed up! I immediately yelled, "HI SANTA!!!!" across the room, and as soon as he was able to sit himself down I trotted right up there with no fear and sat next to him to have a chat.
In fact, I liked Santa so much, I didn't even mind him holding My Thomas. Normally when I notice anyone other than Mommy or Daddy is holding My Thomas, I rudely tell them, "Give him back to Mommy!" Not so with Santa. I just went ahead and introduced him to My Thomas.
Before we left, Santa let me help him open his gift from the family. I'm really good at unwrapping presents.

My Baby Thomas

Tuesday Daddy brought Mommy home from the hospital and they brought this thing home with them.
It's our baby Thomas Richard. I like to call him Baby Thomas. This was my turn getting to hold him. This lasted about 10 seconds and then I was ready to get up. What you don't see is that in the video that Mommy took right after this, I got up and tried to push Thomas right off of our laps and Daddy had to move fast to keep from dropping him.
I was glad that Mommy was finally home and we sat and had story time that night. I let Thomas listen to the stories too. I do like my baby brother. I look for him multiple times a day and I get really excited when I get home from daycare and see him. I usually yell, "IT'S BABY THOMAS!!!" I try to be gentle with him, but I do get a little carried away sometimes and Mommy and Daddy have to remind me to watch for him. I'm catching on though.
